This show marked my 20th and I almost missed it. I left home too late to be picked up at John’s house. But I stop at his home and asked his son if he has the address. He programmed my GPS and I was on my way. The GPS said I would arrive at 6:55 and the show started at 7:30. Thanks to me breaking a few speed laws I arrive with 15 minutes to spare. If you ask me would I do it again I would say absolutely. I ran into Thomas, Ed Tom, Patricia and a little bit later John. John has the luck of Irish this night. Sandy and her sister found someone that had an extra M&G ticket and he was able to go to the M&G. I asked Patricia where she was she would be seated and she told me front row. I joking asked if she had another front row ticket, to my surprise she said yes because the lady that was bought the ticket, probably would not make it. The seat was almost dead center in the front row. The luck of Irish came to me aswell!
I know many of us have been to several concert this year and will just briefly summarize this unforgettable show The show started with Mairead at the top of stairs and Awakening began, something I am sure many of us have seen is Lisa is about to light and each are the color of gold. When Lisa lowers her hands it appears that gold is pouring onto them. Beautiful!!!!!! The song Danny Boy is one that all of us feel very attached to. I think we agree that no know would be complete without it. Chloe, Nocturne and Ave Maria are meant as one. These two songs show the true beauty of her voice. No one else can perform these better than her. With the song Tar we first hear from Lisa TA DA TA DA she is strolling through audience looking for a sailor. This night our forum friend John helps to make sure another forum member Ed Tom is the next sailor. Chloe and Lisa argue for a bit before going on stage and are separated by Susan. Everything goes silent for a moment and the crowd applauds. With the song Nil Sen La something happen that I was unaware about and would not know until the M&G in Louisville the next night. You will have to read my Louisville review to find out. After Ray’s solo he begins to exit the stage and Mairead stops him, and began to battle Fiddle vs Bodrun. Seconds later Chloe and Lisa take the stage and are in shock that the choir has decided to have a party and off stage. Lisa scolds each of them as they go back on stage; Lisa takes off Anthony’s hat and taps his fanny along the way. With Amazing Grace it starts with Anthony walking up the isle with his bagpipes. The girls begin and something different happen, Susan become overwhelmed with emotion with this song, you can see that she has been fighting back the tears that so many of us have with the song. Of course she her performance is flawless, but this something I have never seen from Susan. This shows to me that we are very lucky to have these girls in our lives. I know that each of us have or are being affected in some way. There are few in world today that truly care sooo much about the jobs they. We are blessed to have them apart of ours.
The show concludes and each of us are looking to try to find the buses. While waiting we see bubba and he immediately comes over the shake hands and ask how we are doing. The next thing that happens is interesting one. He goes over to the other side where there are others waiting as well and he tell them to back up. He knows that we are ok but not sure about some of these others. This is truly a wonderful moment; we are trusted and can remain fairly close while other he see are a possible problem.

As many of you know it rains a lot in Ireland. The same can be said of Charlotte when preparing for Celtic Woman for several days rain came and stayed in Charlotte, but it of course it did not stop anyone when coming to see what a wonderful show is really like.
I arrived at the venue expecting to be the only forum member but to my surprise Mike (Mr. Peabody) was there. He told me that they us to be at another venue and this is new place for the girls. It started with Awakening, I truly love this song this is the song that started Believe. With this song you see Lisa’s hands reach out over the stage lights and it appears gold is pouring on to her hands. Simply amazing guys!!! For Dulman Lisa begins differently than in past tours she sings a ballad before beginning and this time Ray has a part in it as well. With Tar we see Lisa looking for Sailors and finds Mike (Mr. Peabody). The girls return to the stage and each time I have noticed Susan’s reaction is amazing. She is saying they are at it again!!! Chloe looks around and tries to tell Tommy what Lisa is doing and of course wants no part of it. Chloe give up and goes back to Susan and finally Susan has had enough and silences them both, then song begins. I am so glad that they have done with the spin the girls us to do. I know many of us worried that the girls might get themselves hurt spinning in middle and most of the venues floor space is limited. Lisa’s Bridge Over Troubled Waters is better than what we have all seen on the DVD. Lisa brings out the true meaning of this song that no else can touch. NIL SEN LA this year bring the audience in this song. It happens right after Ray Bodrum solo. Mairead stops Ray from leaving the stage and the battle begins. Moments late Chloe and Lisa are in shock with is going on with the rest of choir. Chloe asks Ray what is going on and POOR Ray is still in the middle. He turns to Chloe and the next we know we hear a slap. Poor Ray was just slapped on the arm by Mairead and gets the shame on you. PRICELESS!!!! Susan’s The Voice is one that was worth waiting 6 years for. The only other time I have ever heard this song was on the A New Journey” DVD when Lisa Kelly performed it. Susan is showing the strength of voice and it is one that cannot be matched. Almost from the very beginning the girls know we were there. There were many smiles and winks this night given to us. Thank you girls! I as always after each song will give the girls a standing O. I think for the first time I actually motivated others to do the same, the gentlemen and his wife beside me on occasion looked over at me to see what my reaction would be, I was actually motivating someone to applaud and give the girls what they truly deserve. Chloe at closing told us we were the LOUDEST and Rowdiest audience that they have ever had on this tour. THANK YOU Charlotte! Daniel |

Atlanta is my favorite place to go to see the greatest group in the world. This night I will never forget.
While in line at the Meet and Greet I saw Chloe’s sister (Naomi) and guys she looks exactly like her you knew who she was without her saying a word. She is very friendly sweet girl; honestly this is no surprise to me. Dwight went first and girls knew who he was right away, they had not seen him in some time. It is wonderful to get a few moments to talk the girls, I receive hugs from each of them and had just enough time to thank them for all the wonderful shows. Honestly guys I wish this day was one that I could live over and over again. It could not have gone more perfect. The show started with Mairead at the top of the stairs to begin “Awakening” and moments later we heard the thundering drums from Ray and Andy that shook us all to our very soul. We see Lisa with the gold flowing into her hands. This is truly a beautiful moment that we need to ask Evi to see if this can be drawn. With “Caledonia” Susan begins to talk about Scotland and then something happens that I thought I would not ever hear again. In the crowd someone yells out “WE LOVE YOU SUSAN”. She thanks them and begins Caledonia. I love home graceful Susan is with song and each choir member is apart of it. With “Teir Abhaile Riu” this time Lisa doesnot walk down the left isle like in other shows. She starts at the front past the pit on the left side area and finds a sailor. We also see Chloe starting at front on the right just past the pit area and find someone to tell her problem she is having. Each go back up on stage and continue arguing. While Susan bring to a halt there everything for a moment, Chloe continues to discuss this with Tommy and he doesn’t want anything to do with it. With “Granuaile’s Dance” Mairead get everyone clapping to this wonderful piece of music. She receives a Standing O from most the crowd with this one. Chloe and Ave Maria at the Fox will always be very special; this is where many of us were when we heard Chloe perform this song during the DVD taping. So passionate Chloe is with song you feel each note and cannot believe you are really witnessing it. Guys with Nil Sen La Ray escaped Mairead slap on the arm. He was paying more attention to what was going on with the choir in audience but Mairead was still very upset with him. Parting Glass this night was more emotional for me than usual because I know that this was my last show until Red Rocks. It was very difficult at times to get through this song for me. But I remembered that I everything will be alright. Dwight and I decided to hang out at the buses for a while in hopes to see the girls one last time. While we were waiting I noticed Donna and Cindy were on the other end of the bus waiting like we were. It is always wonderful to see them and get caught up for our last time meeting we had. They told us both they would be Red Rocks and could not wait for it. A few minutes later we see Mairead, Lisa, Susan and Chloe boarding the bus waving the whole way bus on their way to Jacksonville Florida. Dwight, Donna, Cindy and I decided to stop at what is now has become the norm for us, to have later dinner at the Broadway Diner. We parted way and I forced to think about what I have to next GO BACK TO WORK!!! Daniel |
