Hi everyone!
Here is a brief little write up pf the last two concerts a few days ago in Denver.
I won't get into the exact songs in order in this write up. It's been done before. The real important thing was this...
I did not have a M&G ticket for either show. But due to the wonderful generosity og forum members, of which I went into detail in the post ion the Mairead forum, I was able to meet with Chloe & Mairead once again in Denver a few days ago. 1st met Chloe at Wilkes Barre, in Penn. I have met Mairead more than once before. Both are the sweetest, dearest ladies.
This time, even while I was in line, she (Chloe) recognized me. Me! Someone she has only met but once before. Do I leave such a memorable
impression on people I have only met once? I really don't think so, But, I thought this to be amazing. I must say, that with the few encounters I have had with these ladies, They are phenomenal people.
I chatted all too briefly with Mairead that fantastic night. Her knees wrapped. I asked if she was alright. She just bravely shrugged it off.
I don't know how serious the situation is, but she would not be one to complain anyway. All of us are worry warts anyway. One tends to worry about those one cares about. Right?
Well, hopefully after the taping of the next DVD soon, the ladies (Mairead especially) will get a well deserved rest. And get all healed up.
It has indeed been a long tour. I hope CW doesn't do that to them again. It was just too much.
The last two shows were filled with joy, love, and tears. Tears that the tour was over. Tears of joy from the love they received from all of us, their friends & fans.
I just got word recently, that the Oxfam charity portrait that is up for raffle, has now gotten over $1000.00 in donations. Unbelievable! All the money will go to Mairead's charity of choice, Oxfam Ireland Unwrapped. I cannot thank everyone enough for getting involved in this project. The whole thing is rather a bit overwhelming to me. I wish I could post a photo here, but this photo program deal on the site says that the file is too big. I hate computers. If someone can contact me, & help, I'd be in their debt. Thanks. In case there is someone that reads this, that has not seen the post of Mairead's web site. Take care everyone!
                       Sincerely & respectfully yours,
