Thanks for Oz, Chloe!

The tour has ended yet again for another year here in the states. It was no gamble to go see the finale in Las Vegas. The venue was crawling with Chloevers. Hey, a new plant species, the crawling clover!  Roll Eyes But it was only right that her fans and those of the others were there to thank them and send them off on a high. This would be a two show affair. A double-header for the finale is sure a way to get them to sleep early! I doubt that happened, though. It sure didn't for the fans.

I was blessed with tour openers, tour closers, and M's birthday for my shows this tour. It is the minimum I can do and only that few due to finances. Southwest did its usual great job whisking me from Albuquerque to Vegas and back. Mikey came by and picked me up with Mustang and Peabody in tow. A brief stop and then off to the wonderful Smith center, very new but like an old style theater from Europe on the inside. There would be around twenty familiar faces here for this event. Most were up close in the matinee, with eight of us third row. The evening show had familiar faces front and second row.

Chloe was excellent in the matinee but the final show was exceptional. Her two solos are such perfect vehicles for her. Nocturne is such a beautiful piece that suits the gentle yet powerful vocal dynamic Chloe offers. It is made even more lovely by the soulful Mairead playing along. Of course, Ave Maria is a band of angels singing in one voice. There she is bathed in red ready to give us a song steeped in faith and fervor. The artists all had standing ovations from the forum roll call each song but others joined us for Ave Maria. How can you not yell Bravo? One of the most playful moments in the show is the pre-song banter in the audience between Chloe and Lisa Lambe as they argue about whether Lisa should go off to be with sailors from Galway all just using dad da de dum and such. You know exactly what they are saying!  Grin It is a frolic and a half and clearly Chloe has joined the stage savvy Lisa and Susan in her ability to act. A hoot and a half and even more fun than Nil Se'n La!

Chloe interacted with her familiar faces all night and I had more than a few smiles as I sang along quietly so as to not disturb my neighbors. She has had a great challenge getting audiences to sing along with Green Grow The Rushes, but the familiar faces never disappoint in that regard and we were in full voice. It has been yet another great vehicle for her in Believe. Along the way this year she hosted an impromptu Twitter Q & A, which she did twice last year. She also began following this forum on Twitter and has gotten around to clicking the like button now and then on Facebook. So really a good tour for Chloe fans not to mention the meet & greets. I was grateful to have her in Nashville for that. In Denver I left a copy of my novel for "Queen Chloe" and hope she likes it.

We now rest here in the states and many a weary wallet can use it!  Roll Eyes it is Europe's turn soon, and quite a number of Chloe fans will be there for her. I wish her safe travels, a great tour over there, and a restful time off after. Thanks for 65 great shows and many a new memory for one and all, Chloe!

But calling out from deep within
A soft voice whispers a silent prayer
To carry you through darkest times
And calm the storm of grim despair
