No knowingly violating US and Non US Copyright Law.
No posting of material in reference to but not limited to: underage drinking, offensive content about race, religion or national origin.

Celtic Woman Limited:

 For the safety and security of the management and artists: Absolutely no public messages describing, disseminating, publishing, asking, requesting, querying, pondering, contemplating, provoking, proding etc. Information about the "inner workings" of Celtic Woman Limited; Their transportation means and providers, lodging, travels, management, habits, routines, preferences etc. that is not already made public by or with permission of Celtic Woman Limited or their assignees.

Please contact the administrators if you have any questions before you post. A minor breach of trust could mean the end to "Cheap Seat Meet and Greets" forever.

Please do not directly quote and post any email or correspondence that you may get from Celtic Woman Limited or any of the talent unless directed by them to disseminate (if you have any doubts, ask them before posting). You are encourage to paraphrase the content but please do not breach their trust. Please do not publicly ask for any addresses of management, staff or talent that is not already publicly posted by Celtic Woman Limited or their assignees (ex: EMI or Madstone). These rules apply to other acts as well.
Please do not post or disseminate any personal information or changes in personal information about the talent and staff that is not already published by Celtic Woman Limited or their assignees (ex: age and marital status of talent). One of the main reasons is that this information form other sources is so often false or inaccurate and even though the correct information gets posted eventually, all too often bad information keeps coming back. Please respect this for other acts as well.


PBS and Celtic Woman have a contractual relationship and it is not our place to tamper with that relationship. You are free to publish information about ticket sales and packages but please do not complain about prices and availability. There are many legitimate ways to avoid PBS such as Group Sales and other techniques. Please contact us with any questions.


 Photographs and digitalis are the property of the person who originally takes them, unless the rights are reassigned. Ex: Celtic Woman publishes a picture, then they are the owner unless credit is given (ex: Getty Images, Jupitermedia Corporation or Corbis) companies that buy images from photographers and resell them by granting licence. Modifying or doctoring photos and images does not make them your property and will not protect you under US copyright law from duplication by others. Please still be respectful of others artwork.

 Images that are not your property cannot be used for commercial purposes (ex in a shirt  or bumper sticker that you are selling) without the consent of the current owner.

Celtic Woman and many other acts do not allow images to be captured during their show. We will enforce this ban to the best of our ability within reason.

YouTube and other videos:

 The same legal rights that apply to stills also apply to video. Even though Celtic Woman also bans video recording during their shows it is our opinion that since they have the power to contact YouTube and have videos removed, we will allow any links to video that is active on YouTube. We will also allow links to any video on official Celtic Woman websites or websites to other acts that are officially sanctioned. This means that you cannot record video at a show, place it on your server and link to it here.

After careful consideration we are seriously considering banning any links to video that were obviously shot from the opening of  a Celtic Woman show to the close. We do not know the policies of other shows such as "Lord of the Dance" or River Dance" and at that time a lot of that video appears to have been produced by the event itself.

Chat Room:
Don't post anything in the chat that you wouldn't post on the forum. Example personal info any opinions that may disparage or upset others, ie members non members CW ext. any questions please PM Administration.

Banner Signature files: as of June 22 2008 vertical size new vertical size limit for banners is 250 pixels including text, if you use more than one banner the total is 250 pixels. note: this does not include photos and artwork you posted. any questions please Pm one of us.

    Religion and politics:

     There is an old saying that it is polite to not discuss religion and politics. We agree. Such discussions can create controversy and bad feelings and this forum is not the place for it. Discussions of such things as they pertain to Ireland and its history are relevant, as is a limited amount of general well wishes on holidays. Chloe attracts people for all faiths, political stripes, and backgrounds, so let's be respectful to one another and of her and save such issues for other avenues. 


Make posts relevant to Discussion Boards. Seek help from administration if you are not sure where something belongs, we can direct you or move the content for you. When starting a topic please try to be thorough as possible with your information. There are plenty of resources on the web to help you. If starting a topic that is a question, try to gather as much information as possible first. Please try to avoid duplicating topics or content on multiple threads. We know this happens and will help you move messages if needed.

Please make use of the Edit and Modify commands. Edit will let you modify the basic text, Modify will give you all the options. There is nothing wrong with cleaning up messages multiple times. This rules file has been modified at least 20 times with more likely.

We are blessed with a Spell Checker on this system, while it is a Godsend it is not foolproof and difficult to add new words, so please double check your word results before saving.

When starting a thread, the thread belongs to you and you are free to modify and change the subject line as well as the content of the original message. Keep in mind that if you do delete the thread you will delete everyone else posts as well so be respectfull and fix any errors early.

"Thread Hijacking" is strongly frowned upon and in some case may result in action by the administrators. "Thread Hijacking" is where one user deliberately and maliciously tries to change the content of a thread posted by the originator for the purposes of stopping the current discussion or posts similar or identical content that is oblivious to the original poster. This is not the same as casually going off topic.

Perfect example: PBS station X is offering tickets and Meet and Greets, Poster Y posts all the relevant information such as prices and contacts to that station with updates and Poster Z post the same information in another thread or the same information in the original thread with no regard to Poster Y.

"Thread bumping" is somewhat discouraged but not a problem if a thread becomes timely such as a thread on a particular show that has been scheduled. If you have a thread started on a topic that is of major interest such as an gathering of members then a Moderator or Administrator can set it to "Sticky Mode" for everyone to keep it at the top.

Most important: Post messages as though all the artists, staff and management from CW, Chloe herself and other acts are watching over your shoulder. They can and they do!!!

External writings by members:

Writings by members outside of this forum such as on MySpace, blogs, and other sources are not the opinions of Chloe, or the Chloe forum. Such writings as long as they are not negative towards Chloe or this forum are not subject to any oversight by the administration of this forum.         

Communication on behalf of the Forum:

ONLY forum administrators and assignees are allowed to make official communications, gifts, presentations or requests on behalf of the forum. If you would like to make such on behalf of the forum you must obtain written or oral permission first.

This permission will be on a use basis.
